How do I make an appointment?

How long will the appointment be for?
Physio sessions 30 minutes, Hand Therapy Initial 60 minutes, follow up 30 minutes.
What will it cost me when I attend?
There is usually a cost involved for treatment. If your injury is accepted by ACC you will be charged a co-payment to cover the full cost of your treatment. Please contact reception directly if you require further information on costs.
What do I do if I can’t attend?
Please phone the clinic to advise you will not be attending your appointment. Adequate notice is required if you are cancelling an appointment. Fees are incurred for missed appointments or for cancelling appointments without adequate prior notice.
Can I come straight to you without seeing a Doctor?
Yes you can. You are not required to see a Doctor first. You may also register a new ACC claim with us if needed prior to treatment.
Why see a hand therapist?
A Hand Therapist can provide specialised treatment of the hand following injury, for example; fractures, tendon rupture or laceration and repairs, burns, surgical procedures, sports injuries/sprains/strains and trauma involving the hand. Treatment and advice can be provided for conditions such as; arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger/thumb. Management may involve; wound care, scar management, control of swelling, support for the injured part, specific exercises, mobilisation of stiff joints and strengthening.
